About the Artist
Afsheen Beig creates intricate and vibrant paintings, with a special focus on mandalas. Based out of her studio in Dubai, she draws inspiration from a diverse background in crafts, including henna, crochet, and embroidery. Her practice, developed from childhood experiences and familial artistic influence, is characterized by meticulous detail with a deep appreciation for symmetry and balance. Afsheen works primarily with acrylic but also loves to experiment with oil as a medium, producing pieces that reflect her journey of patience and skill. Since 2019, she has embraced painting full-time, continuously evolving her techniques and themes.
Afsheen’s current collection showcases her expertise in mandalas, uniquely incorporating elements from the art and architecture that has inspired her during her travels and her stay in Spain. The stylistic influences of Islamic art, such as intricate calligraphy, geometric patterns, and floral motifs found in the mosques, churches, and other architectural structures around the world, inspire her to strive for harmony and perfection in her art. In addition to her exhibited works, Afsheen is open to creating custom pieces, allowing clients to collaborate and bring their unique visions to life.
